UPDATE: AUGUST, 2010
"Forgiveness Lived" was released June 18, 2010! And it has taken off! I am in the process of setting up book signings and Meet and Greets to promote it. My first book signing is scheduled for Saturday, August 21, 2010, at the Americus Welcome Center in The Windsor Hotel, Americus, GA, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. I'd love to see you there! Other news of the Anderson family is that our son-in-law finished his specialist degree this summer, and our son asked his girlfriend to be his wife. They are planning a fall, 2011, wedding in Virginia.
UPDATE: JUNE, 2010
My second book is at the publisher's and I'm waiting any day now to hear that it is ready to order! I am very excited! This one is very different from my first, "To Catch a Fallen Star." Check it out by clicking on "Forgiveness Lived" at the left side of this page in the menu. My husband and I have enjoyed playing with our grandson who is now 21 months old. His parents are really having a good time raising him. He's pretty easy to deal with: just give him a Veggie Tales show and a snack and he's good to go! He is growing so fast! And is such a joy to us! We have paid our son a few visits since he moved four hours north last August. Of course, he comes to visit, too, and most of the time his girlfriend comes with him. She is still in college about an hour north of him, so she has to hit the books a lot. As does our son-in-law, who is working on his specialist degree. Our daughter calls me to chat and ask me childrearing questions, which I love. Passing on the "expertise" is fun.
UPDATE: JANUARY, 2010
We had a very nice Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's season. Our son spent Thanksgiving with his girlfriend and her family in Virginia, but our daughter and her husband and their son came here for supper that night. It was a lot of fun, and I think everyone enjoyed the traditional turkey and dressing meal. On Christmas Eve, our son and his girlfriend came in and our daughter and her family came over and we opened gifts and had a blast. The grandson was 15 months old then and really had a good time. He loves musical things and the joy and wonder in his eyes when he would open something that played or sang was so much fun to behold! Our son gave his girlfriend a promise ring, so there were tears and laughter and joy. I rang in the New Year by myself...sort of. Hubby was sick and went to bed early and the kids were doing other things, so Dick Clark and I watched the ball drop in Times Square together. :)
UPDATE: OCTOBER, 2009
I guess the biggest news right now is that I've given my website a facelift. (My hubby helped...a LOT!) I'm not the most proficient website designer...I'd rather be spending time with my family...or reading...or listening to music...or working on my genealogy...or writing...or, well, you get the idea. However, I think it looks pretty good. What do you think? Please go to my contact page and let me know. Be nice!
Family news includes our little grandson who was born in September, 2008...on his mother's birthday! He is such a joy to us. Our son says he loves him best. I don't know about that, but I do know that he lights up when our son enters the room. The little guy also has some pretty strong feelings for Pop and JuJu. Our daughter went back to her teaching job on December 1, and I babysat him until she finished up the school year in May. Although she is a wonderful teacher (she finished her master's last year...we're really proud of her for that,) she and her husband decided that she should stay home with him indefinitely, so I'm back at my computer now! I miss seeing that little fellow every day, though, so every now and then I pop in on them for a little visit. She is keeping a friend's baby, a sweet little girl, and is really enjoying her.
Still other family news is that our son has finished his accounting degree and taken a job in north Georgia. He still enjoys playing the drums and has already helped them out a little at his new church there. Other than touring with his former band, this will be his first shot at life on his own! Another newsflash is that he now has a girlfriend! We met her recently and she is a really sweet girl!
Our son-in-law just finished up his master's this summer (2009!) He is very glad to have that behind him! As well he should be! We are very proud of his accomplishments. He is a terrific teacher and coach and was selected Star Teacher 2008.
Last but certainly not least, my wonderful husband is enjoying playing with our little grandson. Sometimes after a long and tiring day at work, he comes home to find that the little fellow is here for a visit. He gets really excited when Pop walks into the room! (The feeling is mutual.)
Other news is that I started writing my second book as soon as I sent the first one in for publication and am hoping it will be finished and ready to send to the publisher soon. That's when I plan to start the sequel to To Catch a Fallen Star that everyone's been asking me to write. It seems that folks want to know what happens to Chris and Macey, so hopefully I can start the conclusion of their story soon!
To everyone that received my e-mail on October 31, 2009, I apologize that your e-mail address was displayed. All the e-mail addresses were supposed to have been hidden. It was a group e-mail. I have no idea what happened. Again, please forgive me. |
